The OutBack FX series is a modular "building block” sine wave inverter/charger that can be used for both small and large power systems. Each OutBack FX inverter/charger is a complete power conversion system - DC to AC inverter, battery charger and AC transfer switch. Additional FX inverter/chargers can be connected at any time in either parallel, or three-phase configurations. The OutBack FX is designed to survive harsh environments anywhere in the world. Our unique sealed, gasketed die-cast aluminium chassis protects and keeps the power conversion components cool - without requiring outside air to be blown through the sensitive electronics. This reduces the major causes of inverter failure - corrosion, dust, insect and animal damage.

Outback VFX Inverter
The new OutBack VFX series is a ventilated version of our original sealed FX series modular "building block” sine wave inverter/charger that can be used for both small and large power systems. By allowing cooler outside airflow through the internal electronics, more AC power is available and operation in extremely hot environments is improved compared to the sealed FX series. Each OutBack FX or VFX inverter/charger is a complete power conversion system - DC to AC inverter, battery charger and AC transfer switch. Additional FX inverter/chargers can be connected at any time in either parallel , or three-phase configurations. Like the FX series, the OutBack VFX is also designed to survive harsh environments around the world. The full sreened vent openings are "bug-proof" and the die-cast aluminum chassis protects and keeps the power conversion components cool in very hot environments even when operated at high power for extended periods.

Outback MATE
The OutBack MATE is a complete system controller and display for both the OutBack FX and VFX series inverter/charger and MX60 MPPT PV charge controller. It provides a display of the operation as well as allows control and adjustment of the set points. The OutBack Mate also coordinates the operation of the entire system to maximize performance and to prevent multiple products from conflicting.

Our real time active Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) system ensures that your solar array is operating at its peak power point regardless of age, shading or environmental conditions. DC output current rating for 12, 24 or 48 VDC systems - all with just one product model! Gain up to 20% additional annual power generation from your solar array, the small additional cost of the MX-60 over a traditional solar regulator is a small price when compared with the cost of the additional solar panels that would be required to generate the same power output
Real wiring flexibility of your solar array is finally here because of the MX60’s wide range DC input, up to 150 VOC. The ability to step-down a high voltage solar array to a low voltage battery can save you money by reducing the size of wire required and making the installation simpler and faster. Our smart multistage recharging process ensures your batteries are recharged efficiently and gently to prolong battery life and achieves the highest possible performance.
All of the MX60’s status information is displayed on the large built-in 3.1" (8 cm) backlit LCD screen. Monitoring your solar array’s performance is easy because of included data logging system that automatically records the last 64 days of system operation. OutBack’s network communication system allows your MX60 to communicate with the rest of your OutBack system, eliminating multiple product interaction problems and allowing remote monitoring via the OutBack MATE display up to 1000 feet / 300 meters away.
