Advanced
Power is a leading Australian generating set company now offering
Alternative Energy Systems. The company has carried out several
installations involving the use of solar inverter systems, some
with support generating sets.
The company was awarded a Patent for the design of a heating system
for a cappuccino machine fitted to a mobile lunch truck. The system
devised was a combination of waste heat recovery from other appliances
in the truck and solar heat collection.
Advanced Power have installed an alternative power solution for
signalling devices in remote, difficult-to-access areas for the
Rail Services Australia. Installed adjacent to the remote communications
hut, the system includes solar panels, batteries and battery charger,
a diesel generating set and a microprocessor-based control. This
control provides information to the communications hut in a form
that can then be forwarded to the traffic control centre many
kilometres away.
Co-generation using gas engines can also be offered.

Advanced
Power has launched a new range of LPG-fuelled generators in the
range from 2 to 10 kV A. We are currently testing up to 15 kV
A with converted petrol engines and a range from 20 to 96 kV A
using established Natural Gas or LPG engines. These new models
will feature Kohler, Honda and Briggs & Stratton engines.
These sets are available with recoil start in the smaller sizes
and electric start for sets larger than 6 kV A. They can be supplied
with a control system that would enable either remote stop/start
or fully automatic start.
Large, stationary Natural Gas-fuelled generating sets are available
from 11kVA. These can be supplied with control systems to meet
your requirements, Dual fuel engines (diesel/natural gas) will
be available during 2002.
