Advanced Power has released the first locally made generator set using vertical shaft engines. The Hobbymate Portable model APV2.2RS1 incorporates a Briggs & Stratton vertical shaft, recoil start engine, coupled to a special lightweight alternator. The versatile lightweight 2.2kVA unit is mounted in a mobile frame, which can be easily wheeled and manoeuvred.

This is a lightweight domestic generator set suitable for use in leisure activities, domestic applications, times of power failure and backup support of power.
